One of my favorite quotes comes from Ralph Waldo Emerson:
“We stand before the secret of the world where being passes into appearances and unity into variety.”
Each one of us is on a journey of development and fulfillment. Our lives are filled with richness and depth, but sometimes our awareness of that gets clouded by confusion, stress, or ill health. The challenges that prevent us from engaging our deeper selves are what I call “invitations.”
Invitations to change are not roadblocks, challenges, or difficulties. Rather, they are authentic messages to our deeper selves, beckoning each of us to dig a little deeper.
It is the nature of things that we are often in a state of life crisis before we become conscious of these invitations. To accept the invitation often involves finding a unique, personal pathway to that process of clarity.
